Vicki Psarias is a 27 year old British Greek Cypriot writer/director who has recently won the Channel 4
4Talent Award for Best Filmaker for her short film Broken, a Greek Cypriot immigrant story starring Peter
Polycarpou, Lucy Christofi Christy, Marianna Neofitou and Alexander Roy. Vicki is currently developing a
feature film inspired by her award winning short films Rifts and Broken exploring her cultural identity.
She has also recently made a short documentary about her father, George Psarias and a documentary on the
promotion of breastfeeding for Alison Baum, former BBC series executive. Vicki has presented a filmmaking
masterclass for BBC 2 and also judged the BBC Film Festival 2007 with acclaimed director of 'London to
Brighton' Paul Andrew Williams. The programme was transmitted on December 7th. This programme was for best film maker for her short film Broken and Rifts.
